As a paper enthusiast, my work is a celebration of the infinite possibilities that can be achieved through cutting and pasting. I combine hand-cut collage with vibrant splashes of colour to bring new life to old images. My art practice looks to explore and express fleeting moments of magic, alchemy, memory, and nostalgia. Recent work has celebrated and reflected the traditions of folk magic and our relationship to the natural world, all through the lens of the feminine experience. Magical realism is at the forefront of my work, as well as the vibrancy of saturated colour to evoke joy and hope.
My paper-based jewelry designs are an extension of my collage practice, where I use a similar approach of layering and combining materials to create unique, wearable pieces. Each piece is carefully crafted by hand with attention to detail, and reflects my appreciation for the tactile nature of paper.
