Salt Spring Island Apple Festival

Dating back to 1860, Salt Spring Island was among the first regions in British Columbia to grow apples (supplying Vancouver and the Lower Mainland) and now grows over 450 varieties apples. Help celebrate our 'fruitful' beginnings at the 19th Salt Spring Island Apple Festival!

• When: Sunday, September 30th, 2018
• Time: 9:00am to 5:00pm

The Apple Festival map is not released until 9:00am on festival day.

Tickets are available at either of the ticket booths: (1) Fulford Hall or (2) the Ganges Tourist Information Centre.

Cost is $10 per adult, $5 per student and KIDS are FREE

 

Your best strategy, is to go directly to the closest ticket booth, buy your ticket and you will get a map. There will be about 20 farms on the tour this year so pick your favourite places to go AND THEN RAMBLE.

Apple Festival Highlights:

• In 2017, there were over 300 apple varieties on display at Fulford Hall, all grown organically on Salt Spring Island, arranged alphabetically with detailed labels. The task of setting up the collection is performed the night before by a team of about 30 island volunteers, ranging in age from children to senior citizens.
