This 'sequin' to the 2013 Mamma Priscilla’s Cagey Revue is a new story, with fifteen songs, and both drag queens and drag kings!   7. Experience the Spring flowers! See why Salt Spring Island is known as a gardeners paradise! Enjoy hundreds of varieties of flowers across the Island including lilac, cherry blossoms, laburnum, tulips, daffodils, crocuses and more! Stop by Foxglove Farm & Garden or Fraser Thimble Farm for something for your own garden!
  8. Head to the South End and stop by Salt Spring Island Cheese to visit with their baby goats (and of course sample some delicious cheese and chose your favourite to enjoy at home!) These friendly, playful 'kids' are the perfect way to enjoy the laid back Salt Spring vibe!
  9. Keep an eye out in the fields to spot mischievous little lambs that are sure to be there! Salt Spring Island is famous for these adorable bundles of wool and for good reason! Great places to spot lambs include Ruckle Farm on the South End of the Island, along the Fulford Valley and as well as Sunset Farm on the North End of the Island!

Choral Festival | Thursday 22nd to Sunday 25th | Artspring: 100 Jackson Avenue | Festival: $85 - $100; Concert: $5 - $20 | Morna Edmundson of Vancouver’s Elektra Women’s Choir will be running a three-day Choral Festival for women’s voices at ArtSpring. Morna specializes in adult women’s choirs of all levels and enjoys conducting the classics of the repertoire to the latest contemporary music, with an emphasis on Canadian repertoire. The festival culminates in the Choral Concert on Sunday, March 25th from 2:30pm to 3:30pm.
  11. Take a sneak peak at what local artists have been working on during the winter months before market season on the Salt Spring Studio Tour!   12. Can't make it to Salt Spring? Stop by Made on Salt Spring on Friday 23rd (4:00pm to 9:00pm), Saturday 24th (10:00am to 6:00pm) and Sunday 25th (11:00am to 5:00pm) at Heritage Hall (3102 Main Street, Vancouver - $4 entry fee) to peruse stalls of 40 artisans ranging from jewellers to potters, artists to woodworkers, and add to that, a diverse contingent of small-batch food and drink producers.
  13. Easter Art Show | March 30th to April 8th | Mahon Hall: 114 Rainbow Road | Enjoy a 10-day exhibition of fine arts by Salt Spring artists working in painting, sculpture and photography. This year features Susan Benson’s ambitious snapshot of Salt Spring island. Conveying the essence of the island through 160 portraits of islanders with a soundscape of interviews with them. There is also a sister exhibition celebrating her work as a theatre designer around the world over the past 50 years.
  14. Salt Spring Saturday Market | Saturdays Starting March 31st | 9:00am to 4:00pm | Celebrate the return of Salt Spring Island's famous Saturday market with a leisurely stroll through the stalls to see what wonderful new creations local artisans have handcrafted over the winter months!
  15. Easter Egg Hunt | April 1st | 10:00am to 2:00pm | Salt Spring Cheese: 285 Reynolds Road | Fabulous for adults and children alike. While you're there, taste over a dozen soft and hard cheeses (and buy some for the road!), take the outdoor tour of the operations with informative sign boards, hunt for eggs, see the sheep, goats, chickens and meet the Easter Bunny!
