Victoria Connections:

  • See Butchart Gardens with Salt Spring Air
    Did you know?
As the bird flies Salt Spring is just a stone's throw from the world renowned Butchart Gardens. From Ganges you'll soar over rural farmlands of the Fulford Valley and Saanich Peninsula to arrive in style at the exclusive seaplane dock reserved for special guests of the Butchart family. The pilot will escort you to the top of the seaplane ramp, where begins your walk through Canada's most famous gardens. When it's time to return you'll re-board your plane for the scenic trip back. Wow, what an easy, fun way to travel to this landmark of horticultural splendour!

  • Saanich Peninsula now has scheduled flights to downtown Vancouver.
Commuters, visitors and shoppers travelling from Vancouver Islands Saanich peninsula, no longer have to rely on BC ferries. A new air service from Salt Spring Air allows them to soar over the long ferry line ups to arrive in downtown Vancouver in just 30 minutes, a fraction of the time it takes on the water.

The Patricia Bay seaplane base is just behind Victoria international airport, easily accessible off HW17. Commuters and day trippers can now take a short morning flight to Vancouver with Salt Spring Air and return late in the afternoon.

This service is especially suitable for the many people living on the Saanich Peninsula. No more will they be forced to drive down to Victoria's Inner Harbour to catch a seaplane, in order to over the peninsula to reach Vancouver. This is a quicker option at a lower cost without the hassles of parking in Victoria!
